By making better educated decisions and having a clear understanding how their college and career choices impact their financial well-being and lifestyle in the future, all middle school & high school students in Ohio will develop the necessary life skills to become responsible members of society.

 

For Reality City, the goal would be to develop a model program that can be provided statewide in Ohio, and eventually nationally, that would include activities and programs for all members of a family - for example, savings and allowances for children, introducing budgeting to teens, and revisiting budgeting strategies for adults.

 

We also envision Reality City as part of a career fair that is open to middle school students and includes not only the event, but break out sessions for parents on various topics of interest, guest speakers for students, opportunities to sign up for work experiences (i.e. shadowing), entertainment and more!
